As a class we looked up the definitions of the terms below, then we came up with our own examples to better understand them.

Injustice
Movement
Discrimination
Segregation

Mariam I - I looked up the definition for injustice and I found that it means the lack or opposition to justice. When I think of the word injustice, I imagine a country where younger people than 18 cannot vote.

Edward Z - I looked up the definition of injustice and I found that it means an unjust act or something wrong. Once I saw a man running away because he had committed a crime; I think he stole a purse. What he did was unjust.

Malachi B. I looked up the word discrimination and I found that it means to detect or draw distinction from or between. Distinction means criticism. For example a gender, skin color or race are features that allow people to discriminate.

Andrew D. - I looked up discrimination and I found out that it means the ability to make good choices or have good judgement.

Nancy R. - I looked up the word segregation and I found out it means the policy or practice of separating people of different races. To me, it would mean like separating people because of their religion.
